Job summary

HVMG – Hospitality Ventures Management Group seeks a General Manager for the Doubletree by Hilton Wilmington to lead all hotel operations, drive performance and guest satisfaction, and foster a positive work environment.

You will oversee departments, manage budgets, and implement strategies to achieve financial and service goals, reporting to the VP of Operations; career growth within our nationwide portfolio is strong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field.
• 2–5 years of Hotel General Manager Experience.
• Full Service Experience preferred.
• Hilton Experience preferred.
• GSS Turnaround Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel operations and drive exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage staff, budgets, and overall profitability and reputation.
• Report to the Vice President of Operations.
• Support a trajectory toward executive leadership within hospitality.

As the General Manager for the recently acquired Doubletree by Hilton Wilmington, you will lead all aspects of hotel operations, driving performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement. You’ll oversee departments, manage budgets, and implement strategies to achieve financial and service goals. Your leadership ensures a well‑run property that delivers exceptional guest experiences and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be the driving force behind our hotel's success, overseeing all aspects of operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences
• Your daily tasks will include managing staff, budgets, and the overall profitability and reputation of the hotel
• You will report to the Vice President of Operations
• A career as a general manager can lead to various executive‑level opportunities within the hospitality industry, such as regional director, vice president of operations, or even corporate‑level positions

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field, Highly Preferred
• 2 - 5 Years of Hotel General Manager Experience, Required
• Full Service Experience, Preferred
• Hilton Experience, Highly Preferred
• GSS Turnaround Experience, Highly Preferred
