Job summary

Swig is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily store operations in Indianapolis, ensuring top-quality food, service, and cleanliness. You will train staff, handle hiring, manage deposits, and maintain safety standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

You’ll lead by example, mentor team members, and coordinate with the team to meet Swig’s goals in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant leadership is a plus, and a food handler permit is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Restaurant leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily execution of Swig brand, ensuring quality standards and procedures are followed.
• Serve as the point of contact for all customer service matters and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Oversee food and drink preparation to Swig standards of quality and presentation.
• Assess store hiring needs, interview candidates, and complete hiring in compliance with guidelines.
• Train staff per Swig policies; provide one-on-one mentoring for continuous improvement.
• Document verbal warnings, write-ups, and Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of the menu to assist staff and customers with detailed product information.
• Complete opening and closing checklists and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure deposits are accurately taken and accounted for.
• Maintain a clean and inviting environment, including dining room and outdoor areas; perform deep cleaning as needed.
• Order supplies (food, paper, chemicals) to keep store running efficiently with proper rotation and shelf-life practices.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Assist with to-go and delivery orders to ensure accuracy and timely service.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve Swig’s goals and maintain a positive work environment.
