Eurest, a Compass Group company, is seeking a General Manager for corporate dining in Jersey City. This leadership role oversees multiple dining service departments, drives cost-effective operations, and leads a diverse team to deliver high-quality meals in a corporate setting.

The role emphasizes budgeting, accountability, and ensuring service excellence in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, communication, and financial skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food services management or related field preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation and food cost controls
• P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable
• Experience with cash retail operations and retail marketing is advantageous
• Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
• Proficiency in financial, budgeting, accounting and computational practices
• CDM certification is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments in one facility
• Ensure operation meets timelines for service and management/client expectations
• Manage budgeting, planning, and financial reporting
• Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients and customers
• Conduct management meetings and provide appropriate recommendations
• Audit units for conformance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Hire, train and orientate new management staff
• Drive quality service and guest satisfaction initiatives
