Square Pie Guys has experienced remarkable growth since our beginnings as a pop-up in September 2018. Within a year, we opened our first brick-and-mortar location, and we have since expanded to two full-service restaurants and nine licensed ghost kitchens throughout the Bay Area. Recognized by the San Francisco Chronicle, Eater, Infatuation, and Thrillist, we continue to push the boundaries of what a modern pizza brand can achieve. With plans to open at three stores in 2025, we seek a passionate and experienced General Manager to help drive our next phase of success.

Position Overview

As the General Manager of Square Pie Guys, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest operational standards. This is a high-visibility leadership position requiring a dynamic individual who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving both team and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with junior and senior management to cultivate a culture of excellence and hospitality.
• Maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service, hospitality, and attention to detail.
• Identify challenges proactively and implement effective solutions in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
• Oversee ordering, inventory management, and organization of food, beverages, and operational supplies.
• Manage staff scheduling, ensuring consistency and advance notice for team members.
• Uphold and communicate HR policies, addressing employee concerns and escalating issues when necessary.
• Process payroll reports to facilitate accurate and timely employee compensation.
• Oversee financial operations at the store level, including managing invoices, receipts, and inter-company transfers.
• Own key aspects of the store-level P&L, balancing cost control with maintaining an exceptional team and guest experience.
• Develop and implement training programs, mentorship initiatives, and management development strategies.
• Work closely with senior management to foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment for both employees and guests.
• Assist in the creation and execution of leadership development programs, including Shift Lead and Assistant Manager training initiatives.
• Lead through delegation, empowering shift leads and assistant managers to drive team success.
• Inspire and motivate team members at all levels, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
• Adapt to evolving business needs and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5 years or more as manager in fast casual or QSR
• Strong understanding of modern restaurant operations and labor considerations in metropolitan areas.
• A leadership mindset that prioritizes team development, employee well-being, and empowerment.
• Conversational or kitchen-level Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Tech-savvy or eager to learn new systems and processes.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is required.
• Passionate about building and refining operational systems to support scalability and growth.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks for both themselves and their team.
• Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year (based on experience)
