DESCRIPTION
We’re on the hunt for a passionate, positive, and growth-minded General Manager to lead one of our vibrant restaurant locations. At Mamahuhu, we believe great leadership can come from many paths—so while prior restaurant or GM experience is a plus, it’s not a must. If you're a strong leader from another industry who loves food, hospitality, and building great teams—we want to meet you.You’ll lead a team of 15–20 people and set the tone for the restaurant experience. We're looking for someone who is hungry to grow, excited about learning operations, and energized by making work fun, meaningful, and people-centered.This is a full-time role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team in a culture of care, fun, and accountability
- Lead by example, embodying Mamahuhu’s Five Core Values
- Manage restaurant costs (labor, food, etc.) in line with company targets
- Review and present period-end P&Ls to upper management
- Oversee daily team logistics: scheduling, timecards, time off, etc.
- Train to master every restaurant role and uphold team standards
- Partner with kitchen and FOH teams to deliver exceptional food and hospitality
- Maintain equipment and facility standards
- Use and troubleshoot restaurant tech systems confidently
- Promote safety and policy compliance daily
QUALIFICATIONS
- Based in or able to commute within the San Francisco Bay Area
- Leadership experience in any industry (restaurant background a plus, but not required)
- People-first mindset with a passion for hospitality
- Naturally upbeat, fun, and energetic
- Highly organized, dependable, and solutions-focused
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Starting salary: $80,000/year + up to 15% quarterly bonus potential
