Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Community Manager or General Manager experience in affordable housing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reports, and operating expenses.
• Previous supervisory experience leading onsite teams.
• Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency with property management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee two affordable housing communities totaling roughly 160 units.
• Lead, coach, and support a onsite team including two Assistant Managers.
• Ensure LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 compliance.
• Monitor occupancy, resident retention, and property performance.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, and control expenses.
• Conduct file audits and maintain accurate resident documentation.
• Complete leasing, recertifications, and compliance activities on time.
• Build relationships with residents, vendors, and ownership.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with the service team.
• Participate in occasional weekend responsibilities as needed.
