Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/Custodial General Manager 3 to oversee housekeeping and patient transport at New England Baptist Hospital, a 120-bed specialty orthopedics hospital in Roxbury Crossing, MA.

You will lead an Operations Manager and a team of 35–40 frontline employees, overseeing budgets, safety, and service delivery to meet and exceed expectations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an acute care setting, specifically OR and/or ED.
• Proven experience leading custodial or environmental services teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong budgeting, safety and performance metrics knowledge.

Operating Room/Emergency Dept experience required. The GM will oversee an Operations manager and a team of 35-40 frontline employees, reporting to the Multi-Service GM.About the jobIn this essential leadership role, you’ll be responsible for guiding environmental services operations to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll manage day-to-day performance, oversee budgets, and champion safety while inspiring your team to meet and exceed service expectations.Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities.
