Job summary

B.HOM Student Living in Starkville, MS, onsite management role leading the operations of a student housing community. You will oversee leasing, maintenance, resident relations, and financial performance to drive occupancy and NOI.

The General Manager will build a high-performing team, foster community engagement, and collaborate with campus partners to ensure exceptional resident experiences and compliant operations. A strong background in student housing is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • Understanding of student housing operations and campus environments.
  • Ability to obtain any required state leasing license within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for all community staff.
  • Oversee daily property operations across leasing, maintenance, and resident services.
  • Support leasing efforts and marketing to achieve occupancy goals.
  • Manage resident relations, conflict resolution, and lease compliance.
  • Lead outreach, events, and partnerships with campus and local groups.
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, and NOI to drive financial performance.
  • Represent the property and company with professionalism in all interactions.
