Job summary

Villa Sport is seeking a General Manager in Redwood City, CA to lead club operations and deliver five-star service to members and guests. You will manage a high-performance team, oversee sales, facilities, and programs, and ensure financial viability through budgeting and strategic planning.

The role offers a competitive base salary of $140,300 to $150,000, along with an annual bonus opportunity, PTO, a comprehensive benefits package, and a 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of management experience in hospitality or fitness.
• Outstanding customer service and hospitality expertise.
• Proven leadership to develop, motivate, and inspire others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of financial statements and budgeting experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Alcohol Server certification within 30 days if serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all club operations including sales, fitness, aquatics, group exercise, facilities and Kid Club.
• Lead and supervise department directors to achieve top performance.
• Develop budgets and strategic plans to drive financial performance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our General Managers carry out our brand promise, service vision and core values. They bring to life a high performance culture that develops, empowers, and recognizes great employees, and delivers "five-star" excellent service, and an immaculately clean club to our members and guests. General Managers are responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the club, which includes supervising a team of department directors and covers all facets of club operations, which includes sales, fitness, aquatics, group exercise, facilities and Kid Club.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• $140,300-$150,000 annual base salary based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three or more years management experience in the hospitality or fitness industry, preferably for a high volume and premium athletic club with over 3,000 memberships and over $6 million in revenues (experience in managing specific club departments or functions is a plus!).
• Outstanding customer service and hospitality expertise.
• Proven leadership abilities to develop, motivate, and inspire others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of financial statements and experience in developing annual budgets and strategic plans.
• Possess high standards in maintaining a spotless and well-run facility.
• College Degree
• First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Alcohol Server certification required within 30 days of employment only if serving and/or selling alcohol at the location of employment.
