Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in La Vista, NE is seeking a General Manager to lead restaurant operations, train and support crew and carhops, and ensure food is served safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

This full-time role offers excellent benefits and requires prior GM or operations management experience in food service. You will open/close, prepare schedules, monitor inventory, and drive improvements in sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant general management or operations management preferred.
• Strong leadership and people-development skills are essential.
• Ability to manage costs, staffing, and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet service standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties for the restaurant.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains employment records and payroll data for the drive-in.
• Ensures customer service focus and resolves guest requests courteously.
• Interviews and hires restaurant staff to achieve proper staffing.
• Develops and implements action plans to address financial/sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.

Requirements/Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/ Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards
• Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Prepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levels
• Monitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels. Places orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control procedures
• Completes and maintains all drive-in restaurant employment related records and payroll records
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times.
• Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints
• Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels
• Prepare all necessary operational reports. Develop appropriate action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trends
• Develop and implement a marketing plan
