Job summary

The Exchange is seeking an executive leader to oversee a group of store managers across a geographic region to drive efficiency and economic performance aligned with region leadership goals.

The role requires extensive experience in retail/food/services management, including a track record in management authority, budgeting and cross-functional coordination with military and Exchange teams. This is an onsite leadership position at Redstone Arsenal Exchange in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressive retail/food/services management experience.
• One year of experience in a leadership role within the last five years: Main Store Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, etc.
• Bachelor's degree and four years of progressive retail/food/services management experience. One year in a pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manages financial analysis, budgeting and business planning activities.
• Oversees daily operations of the Exchange and coordinates across retail, food, services, HR, and loss prevention.
• Interacts with military command elements for meetings, real property, master planning and protocol.
• Develops, trains, coaches and mentors managers and associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Six years of progressive retail/food/services management experience. One year of experience must include the following within the last five years: Main Store Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales & Merchandise Manager, Exchange Retail Business Manager, Exchange Business Manager, Branch Store, Region Food Program Specialist, Region Service Program Specialist or Region Retail Program Specialist. One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required. Associate must obtain General Manager contracting authority within 7 days of assuming this role. Or Bachelor's degree and four years of progressive retail/food/services management experience. One year of experience must include the following within the last five years: Main Store Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales & Merchandise Manager, Exchange Retail Business Manager, Exchange Business Manager, Branch Store, Region Food Program Specialist, Region Service Program Specialist or Region Retail Program Specialist. Salary Minimum

$91,181.00

Major Duties

• Manages financial analysis, budgeting, and business planning activities. Monitors performance of staff to ensure goals and targets are met. Takes corrective actions as necessary.
• Oversees the daily operations of the Exchange. Interacts with retail, food, services, human resources, loss prevention to ensure execution of programs.
• Intervenes with military command elements which include command meetings (town hall, weekly, staff meetings), real property, master planning and protocol.
• Develops, trains, coaches and mentors managers and associates for future development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
