Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Deerfield Beach, FL seeks a General Manager to own restaurant operations and lead the team to deliver superior guest experiences. You will coach Crew Members, Shift Managers, and Assistants while maintaining food safety, quality, and costs during busy shifts.

This hands-on leadership role requires at least 2+ years of restaurant leadership, open availability, and a strong owner-like commitment to operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry with responsibility for financial results.
• Open availability to work varying shifts weekly.
• Hands-on teaching, coaching, and mentoring of the crew.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the restaurant operations, people, performance and everything in between.
• Lead from the front and coach Crew Member, Shift Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Build a great team, develop future leaders and ensure food quality and safety.
• Control costs and deliver an outstanding guest experience daily.
• Protect safety and kitchen standards while staying hands-on during rushes.
• Drive community engagement and ensure open, energetic operations.

As a General Manager, you’ll take ownership of your restaurant — the people, the performance, and everything in between. This is a hands‑on role, not a position managed from the sidelines. You’ll lead from the front and are expected to know, perform, and coach every aspect of the Crew Member, Shift Manager, and Assistant Manager roles. From building a great team and developing future leaders to jumping on the grill during a rush, protecting food quality and safety, controlling costs, and delivering an awesome guest experience, you set the pace, raise the bar, and make sure your restaurant is ready to win every day.

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry with responsibility for financial result
• Open availability, ability to work varying shifts every week
• Desire to be a hands‑on teacher, cheerleader, coach and mentor to the crew
• Possesses and demonstrates a strong owner‑like commitment to operations and customer service
• Enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment
