Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is seeking a General Manager to own the restaurant—the people, the performance, and the guest experience. You will lead from the front, coaching Crew Members, Shift Managers, and Assistant Managers while ensuring consistent food quality and service.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can drive costs, safety, and guest satisfaction daily. You will cultivate a great team, mentor future leaders, and maintain an outstanding work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry with responsibility for financial result.
• Open availability, ability to work varying shifts every week.
• Desire to be a hands-on teacher, cheerleader, coach and mentor to the crew.
• Possesses and demonstrates a strong owner-like commitment to operations and customer service.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
• A creative approach to growing the business (community-engagement, fundraisers, etc.)
• ServSafe certification

As a General Manager, you’ll take ownership of your restaurant — the people, the performance, and everything in between. This is a hands-on role, not a position managed from the sidelines. You’ll lead from the front and are expected to know, perform, and coach every aspect of the Crew Member, Shift Manager, and Assistant Manager roles. From building a great team and developing future leaders to jumping on the grill during a rush, protecting food quality and safety, controlling costs, and delivering an awesome guest experience, you set the pace, raise the bar, and make sure your restaurant is ready to win every day.
