Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is seeking a General Manager in Plantation, FL to own the restaurant’s people, performance, and operations. You will lead from the front, coaching Crew Members, Shift Managers, and Assistant Managers, while ensuring food safety, quality, cost control, and outstanding guest experiences.

The role demands 2+ years of leadership in a fast-paced restaurant, open availability, and a strong owner-like commitment to operations.

Qualifications

As a General Manager, you’ll take ownership of your restaurant — the people, the performance, and everything in between. This is a hands-on role, not a position managed from the sidelines. You’ll lead from the front and are expected to know, perform, and coach every aspect of the Crew Member, Shift Manager, and Assistant Manager roles. From building a great team and developing future leaders to jumping on the grill during a rush, protecting food quality and safety, controlling costs, and delivering an awesome guest experience, you set the pace, raise the bar, and make sure your restaurant is ready to win every day.

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry with responsibility for financial result
• Open availability, ability to work varying shifts every week
• Desire to be a hands-on teacher, cheerleader, coach and mentor to the crew
• Possesses and demonstrates a strong owner-like commitment to operations and customer service
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• A creative approach to growing the business (community-engagement, fundraisers, etc.
• ServSafe certification
