Job summary

Wings Over is seeking a General Manager to lead a fast-casual restaurant in Columbus, OH. You will oversee daily operations, coach a front and back‑of‑house team, and deliver the Wings Over experience to every guest.

Two years of management and three years in food service, Serv‑Safe certification, and a flexible schedule for nights and weekends are required. Strong communication and the ability to coach and develop staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience.
• Three years of food service experience, including at least one year in fast-casual/QSR.
• Serv-Safe Certification required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong guest service mindset.
• Ability to manage store operations independently.
• Clear and concise communication.

• Proactive problem solving and staff development.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fry chicken, greet guests, and model Wings Over standards and behaviors.
• Manage staffing levels, recruiting, and scheduling with coaching and hands-on leadership.
• Analyze reports like COGs, inventory, and labor to identify trends.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation through disciplined execution.
• Provide team training and regular feedback to maintain service quality.
• Resolve conflicts promptly in a fair, empathetic manner.
• Engage with the community through partnerships and events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Day in the Life

Includes, but is not limited to:

• Let’s get our hands dirty: Work side by side with the team frying chicken, greeting guests, and modeling Wings Over standards, values, and behaviors
• Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Wings Over
• Monitor and manage store staffing levels, recruiting, and hiring through scheduling, coaching, and hands‑on management to achieve operational excellence
• Analyze reports such as COGs, inventory, and labor to identify and address trends and issues affecting in-store performance
• Ensure food safety by leading disciplined execution in FOH and BOH while following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Deliver a consistent product and level of service by providing proper team training and regular feedback
• Resolve conflicts promptly in a thoughtful, empathetic, and fair manner
• Participate in the community by identifying partnerships, joining community events, and engaging with our neighbors
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

• Two (2) years of management experience
• Three (3) years of food service experience, either line-level or management, with at least one (1) year in fast-casual/QSR
• Serv‑Safe Certification required
• Flexible schedule with availability for nights, holidays, and weekends
• Passion for food and guest service
• Ability to manage store operations independently
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
• Proactive approach to identifying problems and implementing solutions
• Motivation to drive the growth of your team members and yourself
• Ability to remain calm and collected in moments of pressure
• Flexible and open‑minded, with the ability to propose changes and implement new programs introduced by others or created in-house
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Valid driver’s license and current insurance
• Legal U.S. work authorization
