Job summary

Wings Over in Madison, WI is seeking a General Manager to oversee and grow a fast-casual restaurant. Lead daily operations, model our standards, and drive guest satisfaction and sales. Responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling, cost controls, food safety, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience required.
• Three years of food service experience (fast-casual/QSR) required.
• Serv-Safe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Works side by side with the team, greeting guests and upholding Wings Over standards.
• Manages staffing levels, recruiting, and scheduling to achieve operational excellence.
• Analyzes reports like COGs, inventory, and labor to identify trends.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation across FOH/BOH.
• Provides training and feedback to maintain consistent product and service.
• Participates in community engagement and partnerships.

The Opportunity:
Wings Over is seeking a General Manager to join our team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and growing a quick-service restaurant.

Day in the Life (includes, but is not limited to):

• Works side by side with the team frying chicken, greeting guests, and modeling Wings Over standards, values, and behaviors
• Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Wings Over
• Monitors and manages store staffing levels, recruiting, and hiring using scheduling, coaching, and hands-on management to achieve operational excellence
• Analyzes reports such as COGs, inventory, and labor to identify and address trends and issues affecting in-store performance
• Ensures food safety by leading disciplined execution in FOH and BOH, following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Serves a consistent product and service by providing proper team training and giving regular feedback
• Resolves conflicts promptly in a thoughtful, empathetic, and fair manner
• Participates in the community by identifying partnerships, joining community events, and engaging our neighbors
• Other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Two (2) years of management experience
• Three (3) years of food service experience (line-level or management); At least one (1) of those years in fast-casual/QSR industry
• Serv-Safe Certification required
• Flexible schedule- available nights, holidays, and weekends
• Passionate about food and guest service
• Able to manage store operations independently
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely
• Able to appropriately handle confidential/sensitive information
• Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions
• Inspired to drive the growth of your team members and yourself
• Calm and collected in moments of pressure
• Flexible and open-minded: able to propose changes and implement new programs introduced by others or created in-house
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and can stand for prolonged periods of time
• Valid driver’s license and current insurance
• Legal US work authorization
