Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting partners with a Cambridge restaurant group to hire an experienced General Manager to lead a busy all-day concept. The role offers a stable, daytime schedule and two days off weekly: Sundays and Mondays, plus one closing shift weekly. You will build strong teams, ensure guest experience, and drive hospitality, quality, and culture across café, lunch and dinner operations.

We are partnering with a well-established, high-volume restaurant group in Cambridge to hire an experienced General Manager to lead a unique all-day concept combining a bustling café with a full-service lunch and dinner restaurant. And unlike many GM opportunities in hospitality, this role offers a schedule designed to provide some consistency:

• Sundays & Mondays off
• Primarily 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM shifts
• Only one closing shift per week, approximately 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Major holidays are protected
• Flexible PTO

This is an opportunity for a proven restaurant leader who enjoys being on the floor, building strong teams, creating a great guest experience, and managing the details behind a successful operation.

The environment is fast-paced but highly stable, with a long-tenured management team and a strong emphasis on hospitality, quality, consistency, and culture.

Previous General Manager experience is required. We are looking for someone who has already successfully led a full-service restaurant and wants to find a long-term home where they can make an impact.

What You’ll Do

As General Manager, you will have ownership of the day-to-day operation while leading and developing the restaurant's management and front-of-house teams.

• Lead daily operations across café, lunch, and dinner service
• Manage, coach, and develop a large front-of-house team and supporting management staff
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
• Manage high-volume shifts while remaining calm, organized, and visible on the floor
• Oversee ordering and support inventory and operational controls
• Manage reservations, private events, and third-party takeout/delivery operations
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust operations based on daily and seasonal volume
• Partner with ownership and operations leadership on sales goals and business performance
• Create accountability while maintaining a positive, welcoming, team-oriented culture
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service, and restaurant operations
• Develop future leaders within the organization

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 2+ years of General Manager experience within a full-service restaurant
• Experience managing a high-volume restaurant operation
• Strong people leadership and team-development skills
• Experience managing multiple service periods and operating styles

• Approximately $100,000 base salary
• Health insurance, with the company covering approximately 50% of the premium
• Health benefits eligibility after 90 days
• Flexible PTO, starting around two weeks with flexibility based on experience
