Job summary

We are partnering with a well-established Cambridge restaurant group to hire an experienced General Manager for a unique all-day concept combining a café with a full-service lunch and dinner restaurant.

The role offers a predictable schedule: Sundays and Mondays off, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM shifts, and about one closing shift 3:00 PM–11:00 PM weekly. Compensation is around $100,000 base salary with benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Experience managing a high-volume restaurant operation.
• Strong people leadership and team development skills.
• Hospitality-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across café, lunch, and dinner service.
• Coach and develop a large front-of-house team and supporting management staff.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, training, and development.
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
• Manage high-volume shifts while staying calm, on the floor and visible.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, and support operational controls.
• Manage reservations, private events, and takeout/delivery operations.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust operations for volume.
• Partner with ownership and leadership on sales goals and business performance.
• Create a positive, team-oriented culture with accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operations.
• Develop future leaders within the organization.
