Job summary

TACOM (SIAD) General Maintenance Worker position under KBR, Inc. requires performing maintenance, repair, and basic trades to support Army facilities and equipment. The role includes operating vehicles to move tools and personnel, and coordinating with supervisors for maintenance tasks.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of related experience, and be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• Typically 2-4 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or related work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Ability to perform general labor and maintenance tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety standards.
• Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required
