CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Maintenance Technician

Our maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel for full-time commercial construction projects across the United States.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Tradespersons must be proficient in the following skills:

• Carpentry: partition framing with metal/wood studs, installation of cabinetry/countertops, doors, and windows
• Painting: interior & exterior
• Flooring: installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base
• Basic knowledge of:

• Plumbing: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged to apply)

• Electrical: replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, outlets, capable of basic data connections, and diagnosing minor electrical problems (licensed electricians encouraged to apply)

• HVAC: knowledge of refrigeration and PM service calls

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Commercial renovations and buildouts
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements
• Presentable with strong communication skills to build customer relationships
• Attention to detail in repairs, including measurements, documentation, and recommendations
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call as needed
• Ability to travel and work overnight shifts across the U.S. when required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance
• Basic construction hand tools
• Completion of OSHA 10hr training within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)
