CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Maintenance Technician

National maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel for full-time commercial projects across the U.S.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Tradespeople must be proficient in the following skills:

Carpentry

• Partition framing (metal/wood studs), basic cabinetry/countertops installation, door/window installation

Painting

• Interior & exterior painting

Flooring

• Installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base

Basic knowledge of the following skills:

Plumbing

• Replacing/installing sinks, faucets, toilets, basic drainage, and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged to apply)

Electrical

• Replacing/installing light fixtures, switches, outlets, capable of basic data connections, diagnosing minor electrical issues (licensed electricians encouraged to apply)

HVAC

• Knowledge of refrigeration, PM service calls

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Commercial renovations and buildouts
• Basic computer skills
• Following OSHA requirements
• Presentable with good communication skills to build client relationships
• Detailed documentation of repairs, including measurements, photos, recommendations, and quotes
• Willingness to work overtime/on-call as needed
• Ability to travel and work overnight shifts across the U.S.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years in construction or commercial maintenance
• Basic construction hand tools
• OSHA 10hr certification or completion within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)
