Job Description

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining each assigned property from the curb in. This includes installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration, cooking, and restaurant facility equipment, as well as IT services. All tasks are performed according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Install and maintain kitchen and refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC units and electrical systems
• Perform general facilities repairs, upgrades, and maintenance (plumbing, exhaust fans, landscaping, lighting, signage, exterior cleanliness, etc.)
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on production equipment during machine service
• Install and maintain IT systems, including PULSE, network drops, phone systems, and computer repairs
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities
• Handle plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Coordinate maintenance of company vehicles
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations
• Check fire suppression systems and extinguisher certifications for fire prevention
• Operate company vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, repairs, and service requests
• Follow safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and reports

Qualifications
