Our location in Elgin, IL is growing and seeking a General Maintenance Technician . This position is Monday-Friday from7AM-3:30PM. Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Production support to keep equipment running.
• Cleaning and maintaining the equipment to keep them running at peak performance.
• Cleaning and organizing the maintenance shop.
• Making sure that stock parts are ordered in a timely fashion to keep down time to a minimum
• General ware house projects such as putting up guard rail and rearranging racks
• Repairing the floors and walls when needed.
• Moving equipment around for production needs.
• Running the floor scrubber to clean the floors and cleaning and maintaining the floor scrubber.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Director or as needed by the supervisors.
• This is a hands on self-starting position .

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of basic maintenance experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays
• 3 years of experience in PC competency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical Demands

• Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 49 pounds
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.

52,000.00 - 60,000.00 USD per year
