General Maintenance Technician I - F/T Seasonal

Job Summary

The General Maintenance Technician II performs maintenance, service, and repairs in areas such as plumbing, drywall, texture, tile, carpentry, painting, electrical, cabinetry, laminates, granite, and appliance servicing at a skilled level. The role requires at least 3 years of experience in these fields or related areas. The technician should be familiar with various concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work involves a variety of tasks requiring creativity and latitude, including repairs and preparation of guest villas, handling in-house repairs like ceramic tiles, painting, wallboard systems, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, and laminates. Must have knowledge of hand and power tools required for projects.

Essential Duties and Tasks
  • Perform in-house repairs such as ceramic tiles, painting, wallboard repair, texturing, and maintain knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Assist guests and staff with maintenance concerns, complaints, and questions.
  • Use hand and power tools for projects from carpentry to trim cabinetry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience or vocational training.
  • Minimum two years of field experience; trade school is a plus.
  • Experience in resort or hotel maintenance preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Meet company motor vehicle policy standards.
  • Ability to perform skilled finish/trim-out construction work.
  • Specializations in drywall finishing, flooring, laminate repair, painting, tile repair, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete maintenance documentation.
