Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to assist with routine maintenance and repairs within the property. This part-time role requires a technician with a strong background in plumbing, electrical work, painting, and HVAC systems (certification preferred). Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

The candidate will be responsible for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and minor repairs of the condominium property, including common areas, exteriors, and mechanical systems. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and mail rooms.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and shared facilities, if applicable.
• Empty trash bins throughout the property and replace liners.
• Inspect and clean entryways, ensuring they are clear of debris, dirt, or snow.
• Restock restroom and janitorial supplies as needed.
• Wipe down & sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as handrails, door handles, and elevator buttons.
• Report any safety hazards, maintenance, or equipment issues immediately to management.
• Perform routine inspections of lighting, locks, and emergency exits.
• Provide courteous assistance to residents or visitors when needed or directed by management.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs (e.g., lightbulb changes, painting).
• Assist in the upkeep of HVAC, boiler, or other building systems (basic monitoring; report major issues).
• Maintain exterior areas: sweep walkways, remove litter, and ensure snow/ice removal as needed.
• Maintain and organize maintenance closets and storage areas.
• Help management coordinate with outside vendors or contractors and assist them as necessary.
• Complete work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Perform indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Use of cleaning agents and equipment.
• May be required to wear a uniform or ID badge.

Schedule & Hours:

• Part-Time position, approximately 3 days per week.
• Shift hours may vary, typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
• Available days: Sunday through Saturday.
• Overtime is not expected unless in the event of an emergency.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
