Job summary

The American Red Cross in Spokane, WA is seeking a General Maintenance Tech II to perform repairs and maintenance across facilities and equipment. You will work under supervision in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, masonry, and related trades, supporting a safe and functional workplace.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with no on-call duties; valid driver's license required. The role includes travel to smaller sites and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Skills & Abilities: Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record; driving experience desirable.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• May have on-call duties; ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties; patch holes and cracks; repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks; paint structures and equipment as needed.
• Install and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment.
• Move and store furniture and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs; requisition supplies and equipment.
• May plant and tend flowerbeds; prune shrubs and trees; water lawns and apply fertilizers.
• Drive to other locations; follow safety procedures.
