Job summary

The American Red Cross in Johnstown, PA is seeking a General Maintenance Tech II to join the Johnstown Red Cross Blood Center team. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm with on-call duties; a valid driver’s license is required.

Will maintain fleet of about 75 vehicles and may travel to other facilities as needed. Under supervision, you will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment electrical work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties with routine tasks.
• Patch holes in walls and ceilings; repair floors and sidewalks.
• Paint structures and equipment; handle minor electrical/plumbing work.
• Document installations and repairs as required by regulators.
• Install, operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, and pumps.
