Job summary

The American Red Cross in Johnstown, PA is seeking a General Maintenance Tech II to maintain and repair our facilities and fleet. This role covers multiple trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work and HVAC, with on-call duties and travel to other facilities as needed.

Under supervision, you will inspect equipment, perform repairs, document work, and support a team of volunteers. A high school diploma and at least 3 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties through routine tasks and projects.
• Patch holes in walls/ceilings and repair floors, steps and sidewalks as needed.
• Paint structures and equipment; install and repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems.
