Job summary

The American Red Cross in Spokane, WA seeks a General Maintenance Tech II to maintain and repair facilities and equipment. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm; travel to smaller sites as needed; valid driver’s license required.

Maintain safety and document work for regulatory compliance while supporting volunteers and team members. Minimum 3 years of related experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work; strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record; ability to drive to locations.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities and on machines/equipment.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to determine repairs; use hand tools and power tools for testing and fixing.
• Patch holes, repair floors, paint structures, and address electrical/plumbing/carpentry issues as needed.
• Document installations and repairs for regulatory compliance; drive to other sites as required.
• Provide support and leadership to volunteers while following safety procedures.
