Overview

General Maintenance Mechanic--Electric Shop. Performs general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting HVAC, transportation systems, mechanical electrical, plumbing and other items.

This is a mission essential personnel position. Must live within 30 minutes of the Sentara Norfolk General Campus

Must be able to work rotating shifts, rotating weekends and on call as required

Education

• High School Diploma/equivalent or Trade School

Certification/Licensure

• VA or NC Drivers License (valid/in good standing

Experience

• 2-3 years prior maintenance work experience
• Commercial experience strongly preferred
• Must live within 30 minutes of Hospital Mission Essential Personnel
• Ability to work successfully in other shops such a HVAC,Plumbing, Electrical, etc
