Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a General Maintenance Mechanic 3.
Position Status: Full-time/40 hours per week, Rotating shift
Position Defined As: Essential Personnel
Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH), Norfolk, Virginia
Position Summary:
Performs general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, HVAC, transportation systems, mechanical electrical, plumbing, and other items.
Refrigerant Recovery certification Type I and Type II preferred or Universal preferred.
Standard Working Hours: Primary shift schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Secondary shift schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
Mission Essential Personnel.
Training provided during 2nd shift (2:30 PM- 11:00 PM) and/or 1st shift (7:00 AM- 3:30 PM). Primary responsibilities include responding to elevator, tube station, and fire alarm trouble calls.
