Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest level of guest service and guest satisfaction by serving internal and external guests in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
- Interview, discipline, develop/training, and schedule staff.
- Lead teammember shift meetings.
- Monitor and supervise shift activities, opening and closing duties.
- Interact with guests to resolve any guest issues.
- Work with other supervisors to facilitate a pleasurable dining experience for guests.
- Fill in for line staff when required.
- Demonstrate proactive leadership skills.
- Communicate well with guests and team members in a team environment and facilitate repeat business through pleasurable dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year previous F&B supervision/management experience required in FOH operations or a related degree in hospitality.
- Problem solving, quality control and priority assessment – evaluate current practices, recognize potential areas of conflict, and initiate improvements in business methods, quality of products and services.
- Conflict management – recognize problems when they arise, resolve appropriately using good judgment, tact and initiative, and use unbiased mediation skills to handle all conflicts at all levels of supervision and negotiate effectively.
- Information gathering – identify and utilize internal and external sources to improve and maintain the company’s objectives.
- Sales techniques and guest influence – understand products and services, develop new prospects for opportunity, understand guest needs, and stay current in state‑of‑the‑art sales methods; set and meet sales goals.
- Understand measurements of liquid and weight and temperatures.
- Ability to work in high volume, sometimes loud and ever‑changing environment.
- Basic to intermediate computer knowledge.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills; can deal with guests, speak and write English, and communicate information clearly.
- Physical requirements: stand for duration of shift, bend, stoop and use hands continuously, push and pull up to 25lb (occasionally up to 45lb).
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays when needed.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screen.
