Job summary

Mansfield City School District is seeking a General Maintenance worker to keep the school facilities in operating condition. The role requires proven skill in multiple trades and the ability to read, write, and comprehend to follow directions accurately.

Ability to operate and repair equipment, comply with district policies, and support custodial and maintenance leadership will be essential in ensuring safe, functional school buildings for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Ohio Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude relative to communication and cooperation with the immediate supervisor regarding the assigned work tasks and the accomplishment of those tasks.
• Install/repair all new and existing equipment as required.
• Inform head custodians of any corrections/repairs or changes and location of equipment.
• Abide by the Mansfield City Board of Education policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Job Objective(s)

To maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

Directly Responsible To

• Team Leader
• Manager of Custodial and Maintenance Services

Duties/Performance Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude relative to communication and cooperation with the immediate supervisor regarding the assigned work tasks and the accomplishment of those tasks.
• The ability to properly install/repair all new and existing equipment.
• Inform and instruct head custodians of any and all corrections/repairs or changes and location of equipment.
• Abide by the Mansfield City Board of Education policies and regulations.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned by the Team Leader, Manager of Custodial and Maintenance Services and/or Supervisor of Custodial, Plant and Transportation Services.
