Job summary

Westminster Plaza is seeking a full-time General Maintenance technician to perform routine repairs and maintenance within our community. You will address electrical, plumbing, HVAC components, and make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for occupancy.

This role emphasizes a team approach and a commitment to resident satisfaction, safety, and quality workmanship. Experience in carpentry and basic trades is valued, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; six to twelve months related experience and/or training in carpentry.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance or repair as directed.
• Maintains A/C, boiler and heating systems.
• Performs make-ready repairs and ensures quality before resident occupancy.
• Maintains on-call report and log of service calls.
• Completes apartment punch-out tasks: paint, window treatments, appliances, lighting, toilet/vanity replacement, and other duties.
• Works with residents' satisfaction in mind.

General Responsibilities

Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following on a daily basis:

• Electrical and Plumbing
• A/C, Boiler, Heating Systems
• Performs all needed make-ready repairs and Ensures that quality standards are met prior to resident occupancy
• Maintains on-call report and log of service calls
• Apartment Punch-Out: Paint, Window Treatments, Appliances, Lighting, Toilet/Vanity Replacement and other duties as needed
• Performs all work with the residents' satisfaction in mind

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in carpentry.
