Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking dependable General Laborers to work a variety of event operations in Pelham, AL. Duties include ushering, concessions, dishwashing, setup/teardown, and general labor to ensure events run smoothly.

Candidates should be customer-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to assist where needed. Pay is $15.00 per hour with benefits and overtime potential depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Previous event, hospitality, food service, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Usher & Guest Services: Greet and direct guests to designated areas; assist with crowd management and seating; provide excellent customer service and answer guest questions; help maintain a positive event experience for attendees.
• Concessions & Food Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages; operate concession stands and handle transactions; restock supplies and maintain cleanliness; follow food safety guidelines.
• Dishwasher & Cleanup: Wash dishes and equipment; maintain cleanliness; dispose of trash and assist with cleanup; support kitchen staff as needed.
• Event Setup & Teardown: Set up tables, chairs, tents, barricades, stages; assist with loading/unloading; tear down and clean areas; maintain safety.
• General Labor: Perform manual labor and miscellaneous tasks; lift/carry/push/move materials; follow safety policies; work as part of a team.

GENERAL LABORERS- EVENT STAFF

Automation Personnel Services is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to work a variety of event operations for a company based in Pelham, AL. The responsibilities may include event setup and teardown, dishwashing, ushering, concessions, food preparation, and general labor duties. Candidates should be customer-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to assist where needed to ensure events run smoothly.

Pay Rate

$15.00 per hour.

Schedule and Hours

Shift will vary based on assignments

General Laborers-Event staff – Duties and Responsibilities

Usher & Guest Services

• Greet and direct guests to designated areas.
• Assist with crowd management and seating.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer guest questions.
• Help maintain a positive event experience for attendees.

Concessions & Food Service

• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established procedures.
• Operate concession stands and handle customer transactions.
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Dishwasher & Cleanup

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
• Dispose of trash and assist with general cleanup duties.
• Support kitchen staff as needed.

Event Setup & Teardown

• Set up tables, chairs, tents, barricades, stages, and other event equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials.
• Tear down and clean event areas following event completion.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

General Labor

• Perform manual labor and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Lift, carry, push, and move materials and equipment safely.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
