Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Minneota, MN is hiring a General Laborer for our mill. You will safely handle lumber products, verify materials meet requirements, and assist with production and labeling. Starting pay is $14.50 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

No prior experience required, though manufacturing or lumber background is preferred. Basic math skills are advantageous in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products according to instructions.
• Stack finished products by bundle sizes or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band and secure material and attach corner protectors.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs.
• Perform other duties as required.
