Job summary

Pilgrim's in Kentucky seeks a dependable hatchery team member to help protect chick quality. You will respond to machine issues, assist on clean days, and handle other duties as requested by Hatchery Management.

Safety and GMP compliance are essential; PPE must be worn. The job is indoors with variable temperatures and involves lifting up to 50 lbs; benefits include 401K and supervisor development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must follow GMPs related to safety and animal welfare.
• PPE must be worn as required by tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable indoor/outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Notify hatchery management of any machine issue that could affect chick quality.
• Work on Wednesday clean days and repair farm buggies.
• Perform other duties as requested by Hatchery Management.

PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS

• Fill in for Hatchery Jobs during absences
• General Tasks assigned by Management when there are not absences

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

• Make certain all GMP’s are followed at all times as they relate to safety and Animal Welfare.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Always use correct PPE for individual job tasks.
• Hearing protection must be worn during chick processing.
• Fall protection must be used in the event work is over 4′ from ground level.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mostly indoor working conditions with temperatures between 64-100.
• Outside working conditions will vary according to the weather conditions.
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs
