General Laborer/Assembler - 1st Shift

Location: Orrville, OH

Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Mon - Fri and every other Saturday

Pay: $16.50 - $21.54 per hour depending on experience

How You Will Make an Impact:

The General Laborer/Assembler is responsible for building and assembling a variety of pieces and completed truck bodies.

The more you learn, the more you earn! We promote almost 100% of our production leaders from within, with most starting their leadership careers in this role.

The Nuts and Bolts:
  • Read and interpret orders, specifications, blueprints, instructions, and labels, which may contain hazardous warnings and cautions
  • Cut wood or metals to specific sizes using a variety of saws, sheers, and cutters
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
  • Operate pneumatic and hand tools
  • Perform machine setup and preventative maintenance as required
  • Examine finished projects for quality and defects
  • Perform safety and quality checks
  • Adhere to all safety policies

You will receive on-the-job training for:

  • Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
  • Working with hand and power tools
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
Required Credentials:
  • Must be 18 years old
Preferred Credentials (not required):
  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Experience working on truck bodies
  • Construction experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
You Must Be Able to:
  • Work in a manufacturing plant environment, frequently standing, walking, using hands, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds. May involve sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, crawling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Repetitive hand tasks and working at heights are expected.
