Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a General Labor (Plant Operator) for a 6-month contract in Lubbock, TX. The role pays $19.00/hr and is 100% onsite at 103 Erskin St, with a start date ASAP.

Shifts include first and second options, with potential overtime if work isn’t finished and a small shift differential for the 2nd shift. The position involves seed counting, bagging, treatment operations, data entry, and monitoring packaging quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of Client's plant and warehouse.
• Participate in seed counting, bagging, and treatment operations.
• Operate and monitor automated seed sampling equipment to obtain accurate seed samples.
• Assist with seed counts for packaging and quality assurance sampling.
• Enter plant monitoring data for treating and packaging operations.
• Monitor packaging quality, including bag printing, placards, barcoding, wrapping, and overall appearance.
• Monitor treatment processes to ensure application accuracy.
• Perform general repairs on bag placers, bagging equipment, treaters, and palletizers.
• Assist with cleanup activities during variety changeovers.
• Support carryover inventory management, including sorting, counting, and blending processes.
• Assist with inventory counts for chemicals and packaging materials.
• Maintain safety standards in seed counting, bagging, and treatment areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make corrections when appropriate.

Location: 103 Erskin St, Lubbock, TX 79403 (100% Onsite)

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Hiring Manager will determine shift assignment during the interview.
• Candidates must be flexible to work either shift.
• Workers may need to stay past their scheduled shift if work is not completed.

Shift Differential:

• 2nd Shift: +$1.00/hr

What You’ll Do:
