Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our civil construction team. In this role, you will support a wide range of tasks on construction sites, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Candidates with prior experience in pipe laying or general construction will be given preference. This position demands physical endurance, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
• Perform a variety of tasks that may include digging trenches, shoveling materials, and operating hand tools under the direction of supervisors.
• Transport materials and equipment to designated areas on the construction site, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including clearing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials appropriately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more).
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
• Work primarily outdoors on construction sites.
• Able to withstand exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and dust.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Physical demands include bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
