Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based laborer to contribute to the construction of a solar field in Texas. This hands-on role primarily supports the mechanical scope and requires outdoor work in varied weather.

You will assist with string line, laser operations, pile activities, tracker work, and QA/QC tasks while adhering to safety guidelines. GED preferred; construction experience is a plus; able to lift 50+ lbs and work with a team.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent education preferred.
• Experience on construction projects is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist with string line setup
• Operate laser
• Perform pile shakeout and remediation
• Support tracker shakeout
• Assist with Huck & BOM
• Contribute to MIB and damper tasks
• Stage modules for installation
• Support tracker QA/QC
• Support module QA/QC
• Support SPC controller activities

Assists with the following:

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
