UFP Industries in Minnesota is seeking a General Labor team member to safely handle lumber products, verify materials meet customer requirements, and support production workflows on a 12:45pm to 11:15pm shift.

You will move, stack, label, and secure materials, assist with inventory, and participate in safety and production programs while maintaining a clean work area. Prior lumber experience is preferred, but not required, and 18+ years old.

Competenze

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Mansioni

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Binds, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks

Hours: 12:45pm - 11:15pm Monday - Thursday

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $21/hour + $2/hour shift differential

• pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
  
  

Bonus/Incentive Pay

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
