Job summary

UFP Industries in Windsor, CO is seeking a General Labor role focused on safe handling of lumber products and ensuring materials meet customer requirements and company standards.

This position involves moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing materials, plus participation in safety and continuous improvement programs. The role offers hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package as listed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Move and secure lumber products and materials according to instructions.
  • Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Label material based on type, size, and count.
  • Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
  • Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
  • Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
  • Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Record production on production sheets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with other areas by moving material, loading and unloading carts.
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions
  • Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
  • Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
  • Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
  • Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
  • Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
  • Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
  • Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
  • Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
  • Records production on production sheets
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as required
Qualifications

Compensation & Benefit Information
Hourly Pay Range

$17 per hour dependent on experience*

  • pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
Bonus/Incentive Pay

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
