Job summary

UFP Industries in Burnsville, MN is seeking a general labor associate to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

You will move, stack, label, and bag materials, operate basic equipment with a staple gun, and help maintain inventory and a clean work area. The role offers hourly pay with benefits and opportunities for safety and process improvement participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
• Label material based on specifications: type, size, and count
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Record production on production sheets
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00 hour) dependent on experience*

pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

• For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
