Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is hiring for a General Labor, Bakery Sanitation team member at our Alsip, IL bakery. You will clean and sanitize production equipment and maintain hygienic work areas to support food safety and product quality.

The role requires physical work, the ability to lift and move, and adherence to GMPs and sanitation procedures. Shift is 2nd with hours 2PM-10:30PM and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow sanitation instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
• Basic understanding of GMPs and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas in alignment with company and regulatory standards
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and safe operation
• Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely while maintaining proper labeling and storage
• Maintain accurate sanitation records according to SSOP requirements
• Maintain clean, organized chemical rooms and sanitation areas
• Follow GMPs, food safety rules, and sanitation procedures consistently
• Build effective working relationships to support sanitation and production teams

About the Role

We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery Sanitation team member to join our team at our Alsip, IL bakery. As part of the Sanitation team, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and maintaining hygienic work areas to support food safety, regulatory compliance, and consistent product quality.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd
• Hours: 2PM - 10:30AM
• Weekend availability: Required (schedule subject to change based on production needs)

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $20 - $23
