Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC in Alsip, IL is hiring a General Labor - Packer to join our bakery team. You will ensure finished products are packed according to quality and food safety standards, supporting efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

About The Role

We are seeking a General Labor - Packer to join our bakery team Alsip, IL bakery. As a Packer, you will be responsible for ensuring finished products are packed according to company quality and food safety standards while supporting efficient production operations. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, food safety compliance, and production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift

• Shift: 3rd shift
• Hours: 7:45pm-6:15am
• Weekends: As required by the business

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $18-$19

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Pack finished products accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements.
• Inspect products and communicate quality concerns to production leadership promptly.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, Allergen, Food Defense, and food safety programs.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and legibly.
• Support safe operations by adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to support operational effectiveness and equipment care.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring To The Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of related manufacturing, production, or packing experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more per shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely around moving conveyor systems and production equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and food safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients For Success)

• Experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.
• Experience performing quality inspections in a production environment.
• Familiarity with production documentation and recordkeeping practices.
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
