Job description

General Laborer

General Laborer will support all aspects of the cabinet manufacturing process including material handling, sanding, finishing and shipping. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of cabinet components according to specifications.
  • Handle, move, and prepare raw materials and finished products for production stages.
  • Operate basic woodworking machinery and power tools such as sanders, clamps and saws (training provided as needed).
  • Perform sanding, finishing, packaging, and inspection tasks to prepare cabinets for shipment.
  • Report any issues with materials, tools, or production processes to the supervisor.
  • Support team members in various tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and a 6S environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and required PPE guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in production areas with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and ergonomic stressors while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive motion in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or carpentry, especially within cabinet or wood product fabrication.
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, or CNC machines.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing or 6S environment.
