Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Minnesota is seeking a Production Line Operator to operate and maintain line equipment to meet production standards and quality targets. You will prepare, stock, and monitor the line to ensure smooth runs and adherence to safety and GMP guidelines.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, and maintain accurate records. Education of high school diploma preferred; experience in production is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Production or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, operate, maintain, and stock assigned production line or station.
  • Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying the proper individuals when needed for preventative maintenance or issues needing attention
  • Maintain quality by observing operations and adjusting with speed controls and troubleshooting
  • Maintain and clean equipment according to guidelines and expectations
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate and maintain line equipment for the product runs that meet established production standards needed for maximum efficiency and quality standards.

  • Maintain equipment in full operational status by making adjustments to equipment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experience preferred

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
