Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a General Laborer for 2nd shift to support production operations. The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus and competitive pay with shift differential. 2nd shift runs Mondays through Fridays, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Responsibilities include assisting operators, loading/unloading materials, moving items on conveyors, packing, labeling, and maintaining sanitation and GMP compliance. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators as necessary.
• Load and unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets.
• Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means.
• Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing.
• Pack products in crates or boxes by hand.
• Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units.
• Mark or put identifying labels on product loads.
• Construct or de-construct shipping boxes.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Rate: $18.75 + $1.50 Shift Diff. (2nd and 3rd Shifts)
