  • Maneuver around work areas freely and maintain good hand-eye coordination.
  • Climb up and down stairs as needed; operate in fast-paced settings.
  • Be available for overtime and weekend shifts.
  • Positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors.
  • Work rotating through department as needed.
  • Background checks may be required for certain roles.

Position: General Production Labor - 2ND SHIFT

Hours - times vary per line you work

Pay - $16.70 hour.

Rehire Consideration: 180 days (6 months) waiting period. Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules
  • Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40+ pounds for some positions
  • Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level
  • Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day
  • Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard
  • Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination
  • Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed
  • These positions are very fast paced
  • These positions work in a cold, hot, wet and slippery environment
  • Positions rotate throughout the department
  • Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening on any shift, such as day, evening
  • Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed
  • These positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors
  • Long periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching are required
  • Certain roles at Tyson require background checks
